Consumers can request a free copy of their consumer file from a Consumer Reporting agency provided by the FACT Act.  You can request a free copy of your background report, only if one has been prepared by YourChoice Info and requested from one of our clients/customers, by contacting our business department at business@yourchoiceinfo.com.

In the event you feel that the information reported on your background check is in error, you can request a free copy of your background report, only if one has been prepared by YourChoice Info and requested from one of our clients/customers, by contacting our business department at business@yourchoiceinfo.com.

What if I have an expunged criminal record and what can I do to ensure it is removed from criminal databases?
If you obtained an expungement for a criminal record, we recommend that you visit the Foundation for Continuing Justice. They offer a free service to those who have had their criminal record sealed, expunged, set aside, or otherwise modified by the court to have this information updated and removed from private companies who provide the information for private background checks. As part of our supplier's participation in the Expungement Clearinghouse, they receive electronic updates from the Foundation for Continuing Justice about verified expungements and update their database accordingly. This does not affect your rights or options to contact us directly.
My criminal record appears on your website, but there is an error in it. Can this be fixed?
Yes. YourChoice Info is committed to providing accurate and legal records. Please contact us and we will get the record corrected.

Yes.

The FCRA requires you to obtain written permission from an applicant. (There are some exceptions for the trucking industry.) If you do not have a form already available, click here to download and print a copy of our release form.
Note:  Please note, it is your responsibility to make sure that your release form complies with the laws in your jurisdiction. We highly recommend having an attorney review the forms you use.
 
You do not need to send copies of your release forms to YourChoice Info.

What information do I need to run a background check on a job applicant or employee?
For the report, our system requires a first name, middle name or initial, last name, date of birth and social security number. It is always better in identifying your individual, if you also have the mailing address of the individual.
 
You must get a signed release form from the applicant before running the report and comply with the relevant provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You must review the Obligation of Users under the FCRA and abide by its requirements.
Can I set up other payment types rather than using a credit card?
Yes.

We also offer direct deposit from our customers, which is due upon receipt of invoice.  Invoices are sent via email on the 1st day of each month, and direct deposit customers, must have payment made within 5 days of receipt of their invoice.  Please contact us for more information at business@yourchoiceinfo.com.
